Dave, pictured here with fellow participants from the Young Adult Retreat, after a day of rock climbing. A Berlin, CT native, he was diagnosed with T-cell leukemia in 2008. Casey and Dave met at Connecticut Children's Hospital where they both were receiving treatment. Dave is 21  years old and a nursing student at CCSU. When asked what the highlight of the trip was he replied that every day was awesome! 

This year's YAR theme was the Magical Mystery Tour. The participants enjoyed hiking and exploring the area around Bozeman and Big Sky, Montana. Rock climbing, kayaking, white water rafting, horseback riding and zip lining are some of the activities the group enjoyed. Each night they prepared their own dinner and camped under the stars. On the last night Rosemary and Bob Beaupre, Casey's parents, hosted the group for a celebration dinner.
